Diploma of Applied Media
Mission Media U offers a "Diploma of Applied Media" for all students successfully earning certificates in three courses.
The diploma is recognition of the student’s proficiency in applying new media, story and technology into his or her cultural context.
The requirements are as follows for the diploma candidate. He/she must…
- Pay the discounted diploma tuition prior to the first course (see below for the tuition rates).
- Earn a certificate in each course. Certificates are earned when a student successfully completes a course by doing the preparation reading and viewing, attending the live sessions and turning in the independent practice for at least 80% of the modules.
- Complete all three courses within a 24 month timeframe. Most courses are offered twice a year.
The diploma tuition is as follows for those beginning in the 2019/2020 academic year. If you have already earned certificates in one or more classes, your prior tuition will be applied to the diploma tuition below.
$540 Standard (a 31% discount off the best possible rate for three courses).
$420 “Developing/Majority world” individuals working WITH a “First-world/Minority” organization that can help cover the cost (a 36% discount off the best possible rate for three courses).
$120 “Developing/Majority world” individuals NOT working with a “First-world/Minority” organization (a 44% discount off the best possible rate for three courses).
